It is my pleasure to welcome you to this first of its Kind Tanzania All ye workers and Partners Congress in Dar-es-Salaam.
It is an honour to chair the 1st Tanzania all Eye Workers and Partners Congress on ‘’Eye Health for all and by All: Beyond Vision 2020’’at Seascape Hotel and Conference, Dar-es-salaam, Tanzania. I am humbled to be entrusted by the Tanzania Ophthalmology Society (TOS) and Eye Health partners in Tanzania to oversee the first of its kind all eye health workers and partners’ congress.
This two-day congress will feature a variety of technical sessions and poster sessions on cutting edge issues related to eye care which will suit every delegate attending the congress. This Congress offers an opportunity for all eye care personel in Tanzania to meet and discuss matters affecting their daily practices, sharing experiences and looking for practical adaptive solutions for implementations post congress. CPD points which are important for license renewal will also be awarded for delegates who attends this congress.
This congress will also honour the Eye Care legends in the Country, who have been working hard to make sure that eye care in the country is taken to next level. You will witness handling of a token of saying thank you to these important people in the Eye care section within Tanzania.
My dearest thanks goes to the organising committee , the delegates who have spent their resources and time to travel all the way to the congress venue, the guest of honour, keynote speakers, invited guests and presenters for their valuable and unique contributions as well. I would like to thank the session chairs and co-chairs for providing each session with context, structure and character.
